[Tip] Hiding Unwanted Tweets (e.g. Foursquare check ins) in TweetDeck

March 1, 2011

I have no idea when TweetDeck introduced this feature, but I just found it and like it. Let’s say you follow some great people on Twitter, but occasionally they tweet about something you care little about, like say checking into Foursquare, or perhaps tweets from a particular TweetChat, well now you can set TweetDeck to hide these tweets in your columns.

This option is in the Settings dialog box (click the little wrench icon) and then the Global Filter category on the left. I just added @Foursquare to my settings and it works well.
